EPA Approves New York's Operating Permit Program Under Clean Air Act

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has finalized approval of New York's operating permit program, which allows the state to issue enforceable permits to major stationary sources and certain other facilities, pending the expiration of emergency rules set to lapse on December 21, 2001.
