EPA Withdraws Direct Final Rule on Lead-Based Paint Waste Disposal

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is withdrawing its direct final rule allowing residential lead-based paint waste to be disposed of in construction and demolition landfills, following an adverse comment received on the rule, which was published on October 23, 2001.
