Nuclear Regulatory Commission Confirms Effective Date for Revised Spent Fuel Storage Regulations

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has confirmed the effective date of February 20, 2001, for a direct final rule that allows power reactor operators to store spent fuel in accordance with revised technical specifications and site-specific guidelines, as outlined in the NAC-UMS Amendment No. 1
