FDA Confirms Revisions to Blood Industry Regulations

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is confirming in part a 1999 rule change to update blood industry regulations, removing outdated requirements and revising others to align with current practices. The agency is reinstating provisions that received significant adverse comments.
