FDA Denies ANS Petition to Reclassify SCS for Chronic Pain Treatment

The FDA has rejected Advanced Neuromodulation Systems' request to reclassify the totally implanted spinal cord stimulator for treating chronic intractable pain of the trunk or limbs from class III to class II, following public comments on the recommendation of the Neurological Devices Panel.
