FDA Stays Final Monograph for Over-the-Counter Sunscreen Drug Products

The FDA has temporarily halted the implementation of its final monograph for over-the-counter sunscreen products, which was set to take effect on May 21, 1999, to allow for revisions to the regulations governing these products.
