U.S. Department of State Requests Approval for Passport Information Collection

The U.S. Department of State has submitted a request to the Office of Management and Budget for approval to extend a currently approved information collection, which involves collecting data from individuals or households through the Affidavit of Identifying Witness form (DS-71). The department is seeking public comments to evaluate the necessity and utility of the proposed collection, as well as the accuracy of its estimated burden.
