Disclosure of Information Regulations

The Small Business Administration (SBA) proposes to amend its regulations implementing the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). This amendment is necessary to implement the Electronic Freedom of Information Act Amendments of 1996 (EFOIA) and to update SBA's FOIA regulations to conform to current law and procedure. SBA's amended regulations will make more information available electronically, allow requesters to obtain rapid disclosure decisions, give SBA more time to respond to some requests, and increase processing fees to more accurately reflect the full cost of search and document review. SBA presents the changes in a simple user-friendly format.
