EPA Vacates Listing of Georgia-Pacific Hardwood Sawmill Site from National Priorities List

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has removed the Georgia-Pacific Hardwood Sawmill site in North Carolina from the National Priorities List (NPL), a list of hazardous waste sites prioritized for cleanup under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act of 1980 (CERCLA). The decision follows a court order and is part of the EPA's efforts to update the NPL.
