Sun Media, Inc. submitted a proposal to the Federal Communications Commission to relocate Channel 252C1 from Metropolis, Illinois to Paducah, Kentucky, and adjust the construction permit of Station WRIK-FM accordingly. The request was denied due to insufficient population differences between the two cities to justify removing a local transmission service from Metropolis.
