FCC Dismisses Charlotte Radio Broadcasting Company's Proposal for Channel 227A

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has dismissed a proposal by Charlotte Radio Broadcasting Company to be the first local broadcast service in Charlotte, Texas, due to a lack of interest expressed by the community in the allotment of Channel 227A. The decision was made in response to a Notice of Proposed Rule Making, as outlined in the FCC's Report and Order, published on October 27, 1999, (64 FR 57836).
