Airworthiness Directives; Airbus Model A340 Series Airplanes

The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has issued an airworthiness directive (AD) for Airbus Model A340 series airplanes, requiring repetitive inspections to detect cracking of the right inboard attachment lug of the main fitting of the center landing gear (CLG) and replacement with a new or serviceable CLG if necessary. The directive also allows for replacement of the CLG with an improved CLG as an optional terminating action for the repetitive inspections.
