Airworthiness Directives; McDonnell Douglas Model MD-11 Series Airplanes
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued an airworthiness directive (AD) for the McDonnell Douglas Model MD-11 series airplanes, prohibiting the installation of a certain In-flight Entertainment Network system due to concerns over its potential impact on flight safety during smoke/fumes emergencies. The directive was prompted by a recent accident involving a Model MD-11 series airplane.
