Energy Conservation Program for Consumer Products: Test Procedure for Dishwashers

The Department of Energy (We, DOE, or the Department) is proposing to amend its test procedure for dishwashers. The proposal adds test procedures for dishwashers with soil-sensing technology. It also revises some of the inputs for calculating the estimated annual operating cost, adds new specifications to improve testing repeatability, and changes the definitions of compact and standard models. The proposed amendments of the test procedure do not alter the minimum energy conservation standards currently in effect for dishwashers.
