Kansas Regulatory Program

OSM is announcing the withdrawal of an amendment to the Kansas regulatory program (Kansas program) under the Surface Mining Control and Reclamation Act of 1977 (SMCRA). Kansas proposed to condense and revise its previously approved revegetation success guidelines. Kansas intended to revise its program to be consistent with the corresponding Federal regulations and to improve operational efficiency. Kansas is withdrawing the amendment at its own initiative.
