British Aerospace Model HS 748 Series Airplanes: New Airworthiness Directive Mandates Deicing Boot Activation

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued a new airworthiness directive requiring British Aerospace Model HS 748 series airplane operators to revise their Airplane Flight Manuals to include procedures for activating airframe pneumatic deicing boots, following reports of inflight incidents and an accident caused by non-activation of these boots in icing conditions.
