EPA Proposes to Delete Provision of Transportation Conformity Rule

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is proposing to formally delete a provision of the transportation conformity rule that was overturned by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, following a court ruling in 1997. This action is in compliance with the court's decision, which overturned a one-year grace period for new nonattainment areas introduced in 1995.
