EPA Solicits Comments on Small-Scale Field Testing of Genetically Modified Microbial Pesticide

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has received a notification from the University of Maryland to conduct small-scale field testing of a genetically modified Metarhizium strain designed to suppress cabbage loopers from infesting cabbage plants, and is seeking public comments on the application by January 14, 2000.
