U.S. Imposes Import Restrictions on 6th-16th Century Khmer Stone Artifacts

The U.S. government has issued emergency import restrictions on certain Khmer stone archaeological material from the 6th to 16th centuries, following a determination by the United States Information Agency under the Convention on Cultural Property Implementation Act and the UNESCO Convention on the Means of Prohibiting and Preventing the Illicit Import, Export and Transfer of Ownership of Cultural Property.
