Medicare Program; Criteria and Standards for Evaluating Intermediary and Carrier Performance During FY 2000

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) is publishing criteria and standards for evaluating the performance of fiscal intermediaries and carriers in the Medicare program, effective January 1, 2000, in response to a request from Congress and in accordance with the Social Security Act. The proposed standards will be open to public comment in the Federal Register.
