DOE Identifies Preferred Sites for Low-Level Waste Disposal

The Department of Energy has selected two sites, Hanford and Nevada Test Site, for regional disposal of low-level and mixed low-level waste, while continuing operations at other sites, including Los Alamos and Oak Ridge, to the extent practicable.
