Nuclear Regulatory Commission Proposes Amendment to Add Hi-Star 100 Cask System to List of Approved Spent Fuel Storage Casks

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is proposing to amend its regulations to add the Holtec International Hi-Star 100 cask system to the List of Approved Spent Fuel Storage Casks, allowing power reactor operators to store spent fuel in the Hi-Star cask system under a general license.
