Public Meeting on Part 70 Rulemaking Activities

NRC will host a public meeting in Rockville, Maryland, on January 13-14, 1999, to discuss the NRC staff's proposed revisions related to nuclear criticality safety as presented in SECY-98-185, ``Proposed Rulemaking--Revised Requirements for the Domestic Licensing of Special Nuclear Material,'' dated July 30, 1998. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the industry's concerns with the nuclear criticality safety requirements contained in SECY-98- 185 and the guidance in the associated draft SRP, and the industry's proposed changes.
