NRC Proposes Rule for Reporting Requirements on Industrial Devices Containing Byproduct Material

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has submitted a proposal to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for review, which requires NRC licensees and Agreement State licensees to report on certain industrial devices containing byproduct material. The proposed rule, which is part of the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, aims to collect information on the use and transfer of these devices, with an estimated annual burden of 1,113 hours on respondents.
