Nuclear Regulatory Commission Extends Comment Period for Nevada Petition

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has extended the comment period for a petition filed by the State of Nevada to amend regulations on safeguarding spent nuclear fuel shipments against sabotage and terrorism, following a request from the Transportation Research Board's Hazardous Materials Transportation Committee.
