FDA Releases Guidance on Antimicrobial Food Additives

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has made available a guidance document clarifying its jurisdiction over antimicrobial substances used in food, water, and food-contact products, following the enactment of the Food Quality Protection Act of 1996 and the Antimicrobial Regulation Technical Corrections Act of 1998.
