FDA Requires Premarket Approval for Silicone Inflatable Breast Prosthesis

The FDA is mandating that manufacturers of silicone inflatable breast prostheses submit a premarket approval application or a product development protocol notice within 90 days of the regulation's effective date, in order to continue commercial distribution of the device.
