Notice of Request for Preemption Opinion

The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) is publishing for comment a written request for our opinion on whether a Pennsylvania statute regulating auctioneers applies to a national bank that uses an auction format to market and sell certificates of deposit (CDs) over the Internet. The purpose of this notice is to afford interested persons an opportunity to submit comments before the OCC issues a final opinion responding to this request.
