FY 1998 Police Recruitment Program

This rule establishes a framework for the Police Recruitment Project, authorized by the Police Recruitment Act, Subtitle H of the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act of 1994. For Fiscal Year 1998, Congress has appropriated $1 million for the funding of pilot projects under the Police Recruitment Program. This regulation is being published under the statutory grant of authority of the Police Recruitment Act to issue guidelines governing the content and results of programs receiving grants under the Police Recruitment Program.
