EPA Issues Technical Amendment to Pesticide Tolerance Exemption for Glutamic Acid

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has issued a technical amendment to a final rule, correcting the preamble to a rule that granted an exemption from pesticide tolerance requirements for residues of glutamic acid in food commodities, applied as a plant growth enhancer. This exemption was requested by Auxein Corporation, and the amendment took effect on September 25, 1998.
