Marine Accidents: Investigations; Control; Responsibility
The Panama Canal Commission (Commission) proposes to amend its regulations to limit its liability in marine accidents. The new regulations will require potential claimants to carry insurance against marine accidents in an amount of $1 million to cover damages sustained by their vessels at the Canal when transiting the waterway or navigating in waters adjacent thereto.
