Supplementary Rules

The BLM is prohibiting persons from camping and operating campfires on certain BLM lands adjacent to Keswick Reservoir. On September 8, 1998 the Shasta County Board of Supervisors voted to enact amendments to Chapter 8.52 of the Shasta County Code. The amendment prohibits camping and campfires on BLM lands that are cooperatively managed as a ``Rails-To-Trails'' project. This Supplementary Rule will allow the BLM to enforce the intent of the County Code on BLM lands under 43 CFR 8365.1-6.
