Medicaid Program; Inpatient Psychiatric Services Benefit for Individuals Under Age 21

The final rule amends the CFR to allow states to use alternative accrediting bodies, such as the Council on Accreditation of Services for Families and Children or the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, to approve and pay for inpatient psychiatric services for minors under 21, while continuing to develop HCFA standards for psychiatric facilities.
