Notice is hereby given that Dr. Ronald J. Schusterman, Long Marine Laboratory, University of California Santa Cruz, 100 Shaffer Road, Santa Cruz, CA 95060, has applied in due form for a permit to take California sea lions (Zalophus californianus), harbor seals (Phoca vitulina) and elephant seals (Mirounga angustirostris), for purposes of scientific research. DATES: Written or telefaxed comments must be received on or before January 19, 1999.
