FAR to Define Commercial Items for Non-Governmental Purposes

The Civilian Agency Acquisition Council and the Defense Acquisition Regulations Council are proposing to update the Federal Acquisition Regulation to clarify the definition of 'commercial item' for non-governmental purposes, as mandated by the Strom Thurmond National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1999.
