Federal Acquisition Regulation; Use of Competitive Proposals
The Civilian Agency Acquisition Council and the Defense Acquisition Regulations Council have agreed to a final rule amending the Federal Acquisition Regulation to remove the requirement for contracting officers to justify their decision to use competitive proposals instead of sealed bidding. This change aims to simplify the procurement process for federal agencies.
