The Commission requests comments on a petition filed by Washington Interstate Broadcasting Company, Inc., seeking the allotment of Channel 252A to Ranier, OR, as the community's first local aural service. Channel 252A can be allotted to Ranier in compliance with the Commission's minimum distance separation requirements with a site restriction of 9.4 kilometers (5.8 miles) north, at coordinates 46-10- 18 NL; 122-57-42 WL, to avoid a short-spacing to vacant and unapplied- for Channel 252C3 at Dallas, OR. Canadian concurrence in the allotment is required since Ranier is located within 320 kilometers (200 miles) of the U.S.-Canadian border.
