Methods of Withdrawing Funds From the Thrift Savings Plan

The Executive Director of the Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board (Board) is publishing a final rule to implement two provisions of the Thrift Savings Plan Act of 1996. The first specifies how long a separated participant can maintain a Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) account and the second expands TSP withdrawal options by allowing in-service withdrawals.
