Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) for the Little Rock Mine Project, Grant County, NM

In accordance with section 102(2)(c) of the National Environmental Policy Act, the Mimbres Resource Area has prepared a FEIS analyzing the potential environmental impacts of the proposed re- establishment, operation, and reclamation of the Little Rock Mine Project located approximately 7 miles south of Silver City, New Mexico. The proposed project would also require the construction of a haul road that would enable Phelps Dodge Mining Company (PDMC) to transport ore from the Little Rock Mine pit to existing Tyrone operations for processing. The permit area is approximately 600 acres of which the proposed mine pit would cover 190 acres and the haul road 40 acres.
