Reports, Forms and Recordkeeping Requirements; Agency Information Collection Activity Under Office of Management and Budget Review
The Department of Transportation, as part of its continuing effort to reduce paperwork and respondent burden, invites the general public, grantee organizations, and State, local and other Federal agencies to comment on proposed and/or continuing information collections, as required by the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 944, U.S.C. 3506(c)(2)(A). The Act requires Federal agencies to publish notice in the Federal Register concerning each proposed collection of information, including each proposed extension of an existing collection, and to allow 60 days for public comment in response to the notice. The Department is currently seeking comments concerning collection requirements for grants to State and local governments, and for grants to institutions of higher learning, hospitals, and other nonprofit institutions.
