U.S. Department of Labor Issues Final Rule on Wagner-Peyser Act Staffing Requirements

The U.S. Department of Labor is issuing a final rule requiring states to use state merit staff to provide Wagner-Peyser Act Employment Service services, with exceptions for three states that have alternative staffing models. States have 24 months to comply with the new rule, which also aims to strengthen services for migrant farmworkers and enhance protections for workers.
