U.S., Canada, and European Union Propose Arrangement for Uranium Fuel Fabrication Scrap Transfer

The U.S. Office of Arms Control and Nonproliferation Policy has announced a proposed subsequent arrangement to transfer 25,000 grams of enriched uranium fuel fabrication scrap from Canada to the UK, with the goal of recovering high-enriched uranium for use as target material in the production of Molybdenum 99, within a 12-month period.
