USDA Invites Public Comment on Proposed Waivers for Able-Bodied Adults Under Food Stamp Act

The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) is seeking public comment on a proposed rule to waive the time limit for receiving food stamp benefits for able-bodied adults who are not working, under Section 6(o) of the Food Stamp Act of 1977. The waiver is intended for areas with high unemployment rates or insufficient job opportunities.
