Transition to the Defense Table of Official Distances (DTOD) to Standardize Mileage Calculations Across DOD Programs

The Department of Defense (DOD) plans to adopt a standardized mileage guide, replacing existing distance calculation products, to streamline mileage calculations for freight, household goods, travel, and finance programs, with full implementation expected by October 1998.
