EPA Clears Two Projects with Environmental Concerns
The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has expressed concerns over the lack of full disclosure of alternative impacts in two proposed projects. The EPA has requested clarification and mitigation measures, including revegetation and restoring old road beds, for the projects in Georgia and Oklahoma. The EPA has also approved the projects without significant environmental concerns, stating that the alternatives and their consequences were reasonably disclosed. The projects involve the overcrossing of a road, the implementation of a watershed plan, and the disposal of real properties at the San Diego Naval Training Center.
