EPA Proposes Revisions to Oil Pollution Prevention and Response Regulations

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is proposing changes to its Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plan requirements to reduce paperwork burden, allowing facility owners more flexibility in record-keeping and reducing the amount of information required after certain spill events. The proposed revisions also aim to simplify the process for calculating storage capacity for facilities with mixed process and waste water.
