OIG Issues Guidelines for Permissive Exclusion Authority Under Social Security Act

The Office of Inspector General (OIG) has released non-binding guidelines to help assess whether to exclude individuals or entities from participating in Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal healthcare programs, with the goal of protecting program beneficiaries and preventing risks to the programs.
