NMFS Implements Amendment 34 to Groundfish Fishery Management Plan for Atka Mackerel Allocation

Summary

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) is allocating a portion of the total allowable catch for Atka mackerel to vessels using jig gear in the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands Area, in an effort to provide a summer fishing opportunity for small- vessel jig gear fishermen.
