FDA Approves Isoflurane for Horses and Dogs as Anesthetic

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has amended its regulations to allow the use of isoflurane, a commonly used anesthetic, in horses and dogs, following approval of an abbreviated application by Rhone-Poulenc Chemicals, Ltd.
