ATF Updates Regulations to Define Categories of Persons Prohibited from Receiving Firearms

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) is updating its regulations to provide clear definitions for individuals who are prohibited from possessing or receiving firearms, in order to facilitate the implementation of the national instant criminal background check system (NICS) under the Brady Handgun Violence Prevention Act.
